Paste any text and see it in thirteen cases at once: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, alternating and inverse case for writing, and camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case, dot.case and path/case for code. Each result has its own copy button. Accents and letters from other alphabets are kept, and two clean-up actions remove extra spaces and line breaks.
Every style updates as you type, and the character and word counts sit under the box. Until you type, each card shows an example so you can see what it does.
Remove extra spaces collapses repeated spaces and tabs and trims each line; Remove line breaks joins all lines into one. Undo brings the text back as it was.
Press Copy on the card you want. Text styles keep your spaces and punctuation; code styles convert each line on its own, so a list of names stays a list.
Turn a paragraph written in capitals into Sentence case, or a heading into Title Case, without retyping it.
Title Case capitalizes each word and keeps short words such as a, of, the and in lower case, the way English headlines are usually written.
Convert names between conventions, such as database columns in snake_case to camelCase properties, or a page title to a kebab-case slug.
Title Case capitalizes every word except short ones such as a, an, the, and, or, of, in, on, to and for, unless they start the line or come after a colon. Sentence case capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence, plus the pronoun I. Neither knows which words are names or acronyms, so check them after converting: Title Case turns iPhone into Iphone and NASA into Nasa, and Sentence case lowers them completely.
At spaces and punctuation, including _ - . and /; where a lowercase letter meets a capital (helloWorld); where a run of capitals ends (XMLHttpRequest becomes xml_http_request); and where a digit meets a capitalized word (version2Update). Digits otherwise stay with their letters, as in utf8 or 3D, apostrophes inside words are dropped (don’t becomes dont), and symbols and emoji are removed.
Yes. "año nuevo" becomes añoNuevo and ÉCOLE becomes école, and Greek or Cyrillic letters change case too; scripts without case, such as Chinese or Arabic, are left as they are. Many programming languages accept accented names, but some systems, such as environment variables or older databases, only accept ASCII: the converter does not remove accents for you.
camelCase is the norm for variables and functions in JavaScript and Java, PascalCase for classes, types and React components, snake_case in Python, Ruby and SQL column names, CONSTANT_CASE for constants and environment variables, kebab-case in URLs, CSS classes and file names, and dot.case in configuration keys. Follow the convention of the project you work on when it differs.
It is never sent: every conversion runs in your browser, and nothing goes to Tooly's server. The text is saved in your browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back; Clear empties the box and that saved copy.
